It started with a loft garden... now it has moved down the street. FW Dirt is about spreading roses and edibles around the city.
I love it! We have cardinals building in the cedar outside our kitchen window. And a mockingbird singing in the night.
We had a morning dove try to make her nest on our windowsill one year. She had to abandon it because of the squirrels. They raid nests and even though she didn't lay her eggs, she felt unsafe and left it. I had a friend who got a fuchsia plant on Mother's Day and a wren or some other small bird would come and make a nest in the planter. They are creatures of habit. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Cindy! Great to hear from you. Love your photo, I had to look twice to see her there in the tree. It's been so cold here yet, the snow hasn't melted entirely. Long winter, but oh well, it will end eventually. Our little dog Pudding gave us a bad scare last night, she has congestive heart failure/angina issues and last night was bad. She pulled through again, though and seems better after a visit to the vet. I thought I was prepared for the eventuality, but I can see it's nearly impossible to prepare for the loss of a beloved pet.I wish you good luck on your whirlwind trip. And I can't wait for you to visit us again this summer!
