Does Your 'Burg Have Heritage Trees?

Apparently Fort Worth does.

"The Heritage Tree Program helps foster an appreciation of trees, and promotes public awareness that heritage trees are a living and distinct resource for the Fort Worth community." (link)

And there is a handy map (with description of their history) should you decide to check them out!  (map)

  1. Your post sent me on a search which took a little while. I was sure San Antonio had heritage trees (Alamo, Spanish Missions, duh) but somehow search terms didn't turn up a list until it appeared in my email today from the blog Butterfly Ranch.

We have a nice list and next time I see one I'll know it's a Heritage Tree.

    Thanks Cindy for the inspiration.
