Birds and Mulberry Dreams

We moved into the loft in January. It was cold and winter soon set in. The first thing I noticed was the lack of birds in the neighborhood. Spring has come and I have spotted a family of wrens, the usual sparrows and then, a Scissortail on Saturday.

My latest and biggest discovery has been across the street.

This tree is alive with song. Why? Look closely.

A mulberry tree.

Good luck finding any ripe ones.

  1. I grew up with a HUGE mulberry tree in the front yard. Loved it! We'd eat til our mouths and lips were stained purple and most of our shirts too. Mom wan't always too happy with us over it. But she'd make the best cobblers and jams in the neighborhood :)
